2026 Season

The museum is open seasonally from July 7 to September 4.

Hours may be posted at the museum entrance and through seasonal announcements.

Admission

Admission is by cash donation. Your visit helps care for artifacts, maintain exhibits, and support this volunteer-run community museum.

At the Museum

Visitors can browse independently, borrow a self-guided tour, or ask staff and volunteers for help with exhibits, local history, and genealogy resources.

What to Expect

Begin in the lobby with the welcome panel, Lane/Heffern family histories, the introduction to Salvage, historic maps, and the Crystal Stream exhibit. From there, enter the original 1860s house to explore exhibits about domestic life, fishing, craft, music, radio, community institutions, and the families who lived here.

Accessibility Note

The museum is located in a historic house. The upstairs rooms are reached by narrow stairs with short treads, and some visitors may not be able to access the second floor. Please ask staff for assistance or information about upstairs exhibits.
